Your right to appeal: You also have the right to a formal appeal of the assessment which involves (1) the filing of an Application for Changed Assessment, (2) a hearing before an appeals board, and (3) a decision by the appeals board. The Assessor, County Counsel and the applicant must sign the stipulation. The Assessment Appeals Board may, at a hearing, accept the stipulation or reject it and set a hearing date.
