MAKE A DIFFERENCE - Be a Pollworker !

Play an active and important role in your community and earn extra money in the process! 

Santa Barbara County Elections is currently recruiting pollworkers for upcoming elections. Please join us for this rewarding experience! Participation in the Pollworker Program benefits the entire community and fosters a sense of pride in the community.


Requirements:
  • Must be a registered voter in the State of California.
  • Must be available to work on Election Day from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of the closing procedures have been completed.
  • Must be willing to attend a training class.
Available positions:
Vote Center Coordinator
  • Collects all ballots throughout Election Day and has other duties relating to the Vote Center.
  • Paid $190 and required to attend a 3 hour training class and pick up supplies.
Inspector
  • Supervises a precinct board and works one of the positions.
  • Paid $190 and required to attend a 3 hour training class and pick up supplies.
Clerk
  • Works one of the stations at the precinct table.
  • Paid $130 which includes training class attendance. The Clerk training is approximately 1 ½ hours.
